City of Augusta, Maine
Our firm was hired by the City of Augusta to perform a city-wide Energy Inventory and Audit. We began this process by collecting useful information from the City and its utility providers. We then began compiling the data into software specifically designed by our firm as a tool for Energy Auditing.

The next step involved detailed walk-throughs of over 46 buildings, which included

Once the data was collected, the information was scrutinized and analyzed to produce an outcome that could be given back to the City with suggestions on their energy and how to cut back.

The final report included details on current electricity and fuel consumption. Accompanied by many Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), the report gave the City several options for upgrades and changes to their current buildings. Based on the suggestions in our report, project costs and payback dollars were used to calculate simple payback for each project. Alternative Energy Opportunities were also suggested for consideration.

The City of Augusta is now able to use the information our firm supplied to become more efficiently functioning. Many exciting opportunities have presented themselves for the City of Augusta and our firm is eager to work with our client as they move forward as a leader in the 'green industry'.

city buildings, an auditorium, schools, water treatment and sewage plants, and various water pump stations. As our experienced staff collected data on each building, the information was entered into our handheld computer onsite. Several digital photos were taken of the buildings in order to inventory all energy consuming devices and systems.
"The findings [of their work] were remarkable and exciting and certainly surpassed the scope of work..."
