Caribou School Department, Maine
Our firm has had the great pleasure in working with the Caribou School Department for just over 2 years. McCormick Facilities Management was first hired by the School to conduct a re-assessment of their school facilities.
Because of the outcome and suggestions of our re-assessment, Caribou School Department then hired our firm to assist in a Long-term Strategic Master Plan for their School.
Many changes are taking place in Caribou, Maine, including changes to their community and their school system. The work of our firm has walked their school department through trends to expect in the future and recommendations of options to move forward. This process has given the Caribou School Department much information to consider and prepare for and our firm has been with the School through every step. Our team has advised and assisted in many ways so that the end result is a success.
Recently, our firm was named as the Owner's Representative for the School Department as they now move forward with a wood boiler conversion and alternative energy project. The total project cost will result in a $2.9 million investment for the School. During the preparation of this project, Caribou School board members and members of our firm were able to visit Austria to view possible wood boilers to be used in their conversion.
Along with the people of Caribou, our firm is very excited to see this new project take place.
